Red7Marine’s culture of safety is at the heart of the business and its commitment to its staff. In order to reinforce the importance of safety in the workplace, Red7Marine will be holding a culture awareness day on Friday 28 April, for all of its staff to attend. The day is being held by Active Training Team, and will take place offsite to ensure staff are fully involved and engaged.

Red7Marine has already developed its own safety culture, named Safer7Minds. Its core principles represent Red7Marine’s commitment to SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) and its focus in leading the way in safety in the marine industry.

The day will consist of a performance based on the potential dangers of working in the marine construction sector. The industry specific presentation will help to reinforce the business’ passionate approach to safety culture. The experience will leave individuals with a lasting knowledge of their roles, and how the Safer7Minds culture is part of it.

Nick Offord, Managing Director of Red7Marine commented: “Its important for Red7Marine to highlight how important our values are to us, and how integral our safety culture is to the business. Safer7Minds encompasses the 10 principles of SHEQ management, and has helped the business to achieve two years of operations without a reportable incident. We want safety to always be in the minds of our employees. The Active Training Team is recognised for its innovative health and safety training schemes in the industry, and we are all really looking forward to the day.”

Within the marine construction industry, it is critical to ensure that staff members know that there are potential dangers and how they can manage and minimise them.
