Fluvial & Inland Waterways

Modular Pontoon Systems

Red7Marine operates a variety of modular pontoons ideally suited to inland waterways and other inland areas particularly where access can be problematic. Each road transportable pontoon module ranges in size from 4.2m x 2.1m through 12m x 3m up to 16m x 4m and may be deployed in various configurations to suit the task in hand.

In support of the company’s inland waterways work Red7Marine has developed a comprehensive range of tugs & safety boats that operate in support of the modular pontoons with each boat designed and built to be road transportable.

All pontoon modules are readily assembled on site to create stable working platforms suitable for a wide variety of uses. Red7Marine is able to provide spud leg mooring arrangements or alternatively winches and anchors to meet specific location requirements.

Typical modular pontoon system applications:

  • Personnel Access Pontoons
  • Dredging pontoons, mounted with excavators
  • Piling pontoons, mounted with leader type piling rigs
  • Crane pontoons, mounted with crawler cranes
  • Crane pontoons, mounted with knuckle boom cranes
  • Specialist low headroom heavy lifting pontoon
  • Transport pontoons in flat top mode
  • Transport pontoons with raised sides to move dredged arisings, aggregates, rock armour material and other loose materials
  • Support pontoons for mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPS)
  • Self loading & discharging material transport pontoons, when configured with a knuckle boom crane & grab

Red7Marine operates a wide range of hydraulic knuckle boom cranes for use in conjunction with the modular floats, which include 2.3te, 7te, 18te, 30te, 60te, 75te and 80te units all with varying working radii. A wide range of winches, grabs and specialist attachments are available to increase their versatility.

Red7Marine works closely with clients in designing and developing bespoke solutions for fluvial and inland work sites which are subsequently fabricated in our workshop facilities, then tested and commissioned.

This versatility in conjunction with the company’s modular pontoon fleet, road transportable workboats and highly skilled marine workforce enables Red7Marine to provide the complete equipment package to undertake or support a wide range of works in inland work sites.
