![]() Flagship Renewables ProjectTypical of projects that are benefiting from Red7Marine’s services is the Gunfleet Offshore Windfarm, off the Essex coast where the company has been contracted to supply 3no. Air Diving/Deployment Systems, an offshore recompression facility, with 2no. 6 man dive teams, 30m x 18m barge ‘Haven Seaforth’ and fast response dive vessel ‘Skua’. Red7Marine is also providing associated barge masters, vessel/crane operators & riggers, and the project is well on track for completion of diving works by June 2009. As further recognition of it’s offshore capabilities, Red7Marine can also report the prestigious contract award by Fluor for design and build of bespoke monopile craneage systems, underwater training & test facility plus installation of initially 84 J tubes destined for what will be the worlds largest offshore Windfarm at Greater Gabbard, UK, with 140 turbines. Red7Marine are currently undertaking research and development of the bespoke remotely operated pile top craneage that will sit on top the foundation piles as temporary static craneage, together with a full scale dummy test pile to provide a workshop & dockside training facility. The wind farm will be located approximately 23km off the Suffolk coast, and is the first to be situated in international waters. Due to the remote site and water depths of upto 34m, R7M will work from the 82m DP2 OSV vessel ‘Relume’ to support main diving operations on a 24hr basis. The vessel will be fitted with a bespoke Nitrox diving system, consisting of 2no. dive control/compression chambers, deployment systems, divers hot water and hydraulic systems, to be constructed in the latest offshore spec 12079 containers, as is now required for offshore transportation. Red7Marine is also very busy undertaking marine construction projects around the UK, with provision of floating and Jack-up plant at high profile sites such as Thames Gateway, Cross Rail – Isle-of-Dogs, Olympics site, Belvedere Jetty - Thames, Southend Pier and the Felixstowe South Terminal, and is currently booking work for 2010. |
